This Year...

This year has been breath-taking. It was one of favourite years I will never, ever forget.

One of my favorites was Optimist Yachting. I went on Tuesday and Thursday. Thursday was my favourite day. I went on the boat with Sana the first time and Annabel the second. I hoped off early on Tuesday but I regret that. On Tuesday Sana and I were on the boat and we were going very fast. We accidentally hit Amy’s boat and we made Amy’s boat almost capsize and it made the whole of Amy’s head go under. It was an accident but it was hilarious.

My other favourite was the production. I was a zombie. It was my first time on a stage. I had huge butterflies but they all fluttered away when I took my first step on the stage. There was lots of singing and dancing. Our costume was a ripped, stretched t- shirt and baggy track pants. Our make- up was a white face. Black eyes and black lips. Our hair was crazy. Literally crazy. Our hair was here, there and everywhere. I teased my hair and put dreads in it. It was amazing fun.

My favourite sport I have done this year was volleyball. We do it every Wednesday. I have done it in term 1 and term 4. I love volleyball and everything about it. My favourite hit I like to do is a spike. My team is great. We win all our games. We can do 3 player bonus points. This year has been spectacular.

My Year That WAS

Welcome to the 2013 Mathletics. I was so nervous. Rattling to my bone. GO I heard I dived for the question. I bring it back my teams table. It’s 20 I hiss like a snake to Charlie. We write it down and pass it to the judge. Correct! Says the judge we get the next question. Oh know it’s a ratio. I don’t know ratios. Luckily Charlie and Nick knew there answer. Finally my race has been called. 100m Freestyle right? Yes!! On the click girls. On your marks! GO! I dive into the water as fast as I can. I speed along the water. Yes I come first I’m in the final. I speed as fast as I can. I come second. Breea Diack bet me. The water was so cool and clear it was refreshing. Come on Nick I want to find out what we’re doing first. I can’t wait till we get to go on the flying fox that was our first activity. I jump up onto the ladder I get on the flying fox and push off. Woohoo!!!!! I yell. I was going so fast and my hair was blowing in the wind. Camp was so fun at Stoney Creek. My Year That WAS By Ruby

My year that was

My year This year was great in Room 4. I had so much fun. My favourite was the bp challenge. My team was max, Savannah and me. We had to build a flying fox. it was awesome. At the end of the challenge we all got a Moro bar and we got to eat them. For production I was a zombie and I got to stand next to Tim. Tim was Private Starch and all the rest of us were zombies. We danced and sang at the same time. All the rest of the production people were singing back stage. It was so much fun. I saw my dad, mum, Ben, grandma and my great grandma. That was my first production and I loved it. Camp was awesome and I want to go again next year. My favourite thing was the BMX bikes and the bow and arrows. I was in the cabin with Liam, Max, Harrison, Flynn, Jordon, Ashton, and Dylan. I loved the breakfast and the activities.

The year that was

This year was completely amazing. I had so much fun. My two favourite things were the production and camp. For the production I was a Dock Twin with Maia. We didn’t say much but we liked our part. At camp I just absolutely adored riding on the mini motorbikes and the flying fox. The things I participated in were choir, orchestra, Kapa Haka, netball, volleyball, soccer, and lots more. I have been selected to be a librarian for 2014 but I’m not sure about road patrol. I’ve applied and done the test but I only got ok. I really want to be a School or House leader so I’m going to apply for one of them. I’ve really enjoyed this year. it’s been one of my favourite years so far.

The year that was…. The year was just amazing. It is nearly the end of the year and I have had a blast. I have participated in basketball, netball, choir, and kappa Hakka. I hope I can be a librarian and school leader next year. One thing that I adored was the production. I was the lamb. It wasn’t much but it was good enough for me. A funny thing that happened in the production right at the end was my friend Maia took a bowl and the hat that was on her head fell right off. Izzy and her were trying to catch it but it slipped and bounced through their hands. I got in to be a road patroller. In the training all I got was a ok but still it is a great achievement. one fun thing that Miss Ferguson now and then was when we made quick story’s because what she did was but a picture up on the screen and let a our minds go wild. This year has been an awesome experience with Ms Ferguson and had a great time.

This year has been awesome. I have done lots of learning and have achieved lot. The best part of Term 1 was defiantly camp. It was awesome. I got to have two and a half whole days with no annoying brother. The best activities in camp were the low ropes and the flying fox. The low ropes were an awesome obstacle course filled with ropes and tires. The most fun one was the tyre bridge. The flying fox was the best of the lot. You climbed up a giant tower and jumped on a steel bar. You went soaring. I was the loudest screamer of them all

The highlight of term 2 was the BP Technology Challenge. There was lots of intense training like making planes, cars and flying foxes. It was two days before the night and we thought we had it all planed out. We were wrong. On the night we had different materials from the plan. It was really stressful. I felt like my head would explode. We got it done even though it didn’t drop the Moro bar into the box.

Term 3 was really cool with the Napier City Rovers coming over to teach us football skills. We learnt lots of new skills like dribbling, passing, and control. We also learnt new games like terminator, number soccer and the aiming game.

Term 4 was the best. We did the production and I was a town’s person. We had lots of practise miming and saying our lines. The dress rehearsal was not fun. Everyone had to come to school wearing makeup. I had to hide behind my school bag. It was so scary! The night was even worse. We had to perform in front in of thousands of people. I was so scared I could die. When the end came I was exhausted but happy that it was over.

This year has been awesome and I can’t wait till next year.

My second broken arm when I was 4.

"Bye Sophie. Bye Mum". My mum had left me at Kindy in Paeroa. I thought it was going to be a normal day. I went outside to play on the playground. I went down the slide, up the ladder and then the monkey bars. I went past the first bar, the second bar. I put my left hand on the third bar. BAAM! I hand slipped and landed on my left arm. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! I had broken my arm. Suddenly everyone started crowding around me. I was there for 2 minutes. Lucky mum started sprinting to me. I was taken to the hospital straight away. I was there for the night and I had a bright pink, sparkly cast. I was feeling better.

Yum, yum ,yum I can`t wait to taste it. My class are making ice cream today. I’m so excited.  Everyone went up to get the things they needed and once we all had it we took turns shaking the bag of ice. It was so cold that I passed the bag on to the next person straight away. I don’t think my group had enough salt because it stayed watery for ages. Finally the ice cream was made. It was the most delicious ice cream ever. Even though we were all double dipping with our spoons it didn’t affect the taste. It was so yum, frothy, salty and delicious. I really enjoyed making ice cream and I would love to do it again.

On October 29^th room 4 made ice-cream it was very exciting. I knew what we were making before the teacher said what we were making because of all the screaming and yelling. We were making ice-cream.

We had to put milk icing sugar and vanilla essence in a small bag. Then we put ice and salt in a big bag and put the small bag in the big bag. Next we had to shake it until the ice melted and the ice-cream went all soft and mushy .it was so cold!

When we finally got to taste it it tasted awesome.it was almost indescribable. It was creamy and

Vanillary  at the same time. It was so yum I almost died I hope I can convince mum make it again probably not though

My First Day.

My first day of school was so cool. I met so many friends and they all crowded me on the first day. Sophie, Ocean, Savannah, Jessica, Liv and Maddy have made me feel really welcome and they are really nice. It has been hard joining a new school but it doesnt feel like that anymore. I remember walking into the class and everyone staring at me. I thought they all didnt like me but I was wrong they were just interested. I hope I dont have to leave this school. Thank You all those people who made me feel welcome. I really love having so many friends.

Other classes must have been thinking “What’s going on in there? It’s as loud as an elephant foot stomp.  Well guess what. My class is making ice cream!

Shouting, screaming noises from everyone were coming about. No felling in my hands. Shaking the bag around to make the ice cream. I felt disgusted, weird and unbelievable. My hands were as stiff as a board.

The eating. The fun part. Mouths as open as whale mouths. It was a bubbly mess.

Hu! In a second my face cheeks were frozen. Annabel had put her cold, numb hands all over my cheek bones. BAAM! I had swung around and had revenge. I put my even colder and number hands on her cheeks.

I loved the ice cream but the double dipping ruined it. Ms Ferguson is great at choosing writing ideas. Wait. Next time we should make chocolate. No, no, no. Sugar covered, marshmallow filled, lollies.

Ice cream story

Liv and I were trotting down the corridor knowing what we were going to make for writing.  We arrive back in the classroom with 2 bags of ice, a bottle of milk and about 30 spoons.  Ice-cream was what we were making! Hooray!

We got into our groups eager to start.  I wasn’t too sure how this was going to turn out.  But we had already started so there was no going back now.  The whole class sat at their desks in a classroom full of screams and shouts.  Our hands were rubbing along a bag filled with ice, salt, milk, icing sugar and vanilla essence. 

Right.  It was eating time.  My favourite.  Our group of 3 got some spoons and got stuck in.  the ice-cream had a divine taste.  The ice-cream was in the bag and starting melting like ice under the steaming hot sun.  It was melting in my mouth and frothing up.

The after taste was horrible and gave me a tummy ache.  So I’m not too sure if I’ll  try to make it again sometime.

Failed Ice Cream

In A Class Room Full Of Screeching Children.                                                                                           We were making ice cream.

She put us in a group of three James, Amy and I. In an bag you put milk, icing sugar and vanilla essence. And in another bag you put ice and sugar. Put the small bag inside the big bag and rub together. Shaking, burning like a furnace, hard, stinging and freezing. You feel like you’re going faint because of the cold. It’s hard to keep your and on the bag. It’s the test of toughness. It makes you feel like your climbing up a mountain it’s awesome.

I pick up the spoon and stick it in the bag and scoop up the mouth-watering, milky bubbly mess. It tastes like heaven marshmallows. Laughs of delight fill the air. I love failed ice cream.

This Term

We have just got into the second week of term 4 and it has been going pretty good already. Production is this Wednesday as well and we know what to do and we are all organised for it. i am pretty sure that this term will be a very busy but good term.

Production is coming up its term 4 and its going to be challenging with athletics to and so far its going great.

Volley Ball

"Mine" I yell as i run to the ball I hit it up high in the air Ally spikes it over bonus point the ref yells. Yay our team yells we won our first game. In our second game we got lots more bonus ponits but the other team got more. The second game we lost. And the player of the day was Allly.  

This Term

It is term four with the production coming up in week two. Also cricket is starting again and I hope we do as well as we did at the start of the term, we won every game except one which was a draw. I am looking forward to summer because I like the warm weather.

I want to achieve grade one in piano by the end of this year. Because I will be much better and have to play harder pieces. I will achieve this by practicing going hard in my piano lessons and my piano theory book I have to complete. Then I might get to grade 1.

Term 4

This term is term 4. I am a year 6 so some exciting things are coming up. The first thing. This is my last term at primary school so next year i'm going to intermediate. I'm so excited about this. Next thing. Rocket maths. I'm on 53 out of 57. I think I have a chance of passing blast off. My third thing. Optimist yachting. All the year 6's get to do this.( That's my favorite). My 4th thing. The year 6 dance. A fun night. 7th thing. Swimming. I love swimming and that's great.8th thing. Production. A fantastic fun time for all great actors to use their talent. My last thing. Another great and awesome term to learn and have fun.

My Hopes and Dreams for Basket-ball

This is my last term at Napier Central School and also my last term of playing basket-ball for Napier Central.

I hope I have made my coach and manager proud. I have learnt a lot about basketball over the year that I have played. I love playing basket-ball because I like running down the court dribbling past my defenders and having that feeling when you score a goal or a three pointer. When the other team penalised you then you get 1 free shot. A free shot is when 2 players from the team that is shooting line up. One on each side and three players from the other team line up next to the other players. Basket-ball is fun and cool.

Term 4

This term is going to be a very exciting term.  There is going to be the production,opti yachting, athletics day and the year 6 dance.  The production is coming up very soon.  Opti yachting is only for the year 6's.

Term 4

Term 4 is going to be so exciting we have heaps of cool events coming our way. The most exciting event coming up has got to be the school production Once Upon A Time we are preforming it on Wednesday the 23rd of October. The year sixes have got the most exciting term opti yachting, splash planet for the road patrol people and the year 6 dance. There are lots of other events like athletics day and Waipukurau.

Term 4

I  am really looking forward to optimist yachting and all the end
 of year concerts. I will be sad to leave NCS because even though
 I came half way through my primary years it has been my favorite
 school. 2013 has been a great year and I am excited about going
 to intermediate.

‘’G9’’ calls miss boffin I looked at my wrist it was me. I slowly walked up feeling scared, excited, nerves, all at once.  After the next grope had gone I had to step up.

I stood by the diving board then jumped in. I was hoping this would end soon. Bang! I am of; I look at the other side about 3 meters to go then 2 meters now only 1.  Stop I have finally finished. I came second but still it was great.

It was the last day of term and room 4 had Sharks, Dolphins, and Whales. It was really fun.

The most boring thing was finding research about Whales, Sharks, or dolphins. The most exciting thing was making Whale shape biscuits. My whale biscuit had melted chocolate for the icing, two pebbles for the eyes, and lots more stuff.

 

We have to eat the biscuits at morning tea.

They were so yum!

 After morning tea, we had to carry on with our research for a bit and then we have to do some art.

For Art we got to paint whales, sharks and dolphins. I traced my animals though it was fun for the last day of term

Auditions

I was freaking out. Today was the day, I was auditioning for the school production. I was auditioning with the words of Mother Goose. Room 2 was the waiting room, it felt like I was waiting in there for hours, anxiously waiting.

 I walked into the audition room. My hands were shaking but my face looked like I felt cool, calm and collected. My brain wanted me to back out except my conscience said ‘’you can do this’’.

 A few weeks later when the characters were announced I kept on saying to myself ‘’If you don’t get a part, don’t worry.’’. When I heard my name after a main character I froze and I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day. I never thought of how I would have felt if I got a part, let alone a major part. That made my day. 

today we did maori poster i did a rubber and the maori word for that is rari. it was fun drawing and talking to room 3 when they went on the computer it was a fun day.

The Production

This term there has been very busy because we are in the middle of production practice.  Our production  is called Once Upon a Time.  In the production i am Mary off of Mary had a little lamb.

Soccer

The ball is gliding off my foot as I hit the ball to Lily. I am right wing. Beside Lily I run. She hits the ball to Ocean who scores. It is 1-0. Their ball. They pass it to my appoint. I run to the ball as i fell wind in my face. Bang. I have got the ball. Further and further I get to the goal. Stella was right beside me. " Stella.". I give Stella the ball. She shots. The other teams goalie dived for the ball but missed. Yes 2-0. "Half time" shouts the coach. "You are doing great. Keep this up and we will win" said Mr hall in a confident voice. In the last half we got heaps of goals. At the end the score was 10-0!

The Production

This term has been very busy because we have a very exciting event coming up. The school production Once Upon A Time. My part in the production is Mother Goose. She is a very firm character because she makes sure people understand her and yells a lot especially at Humpty. I can't wait till the production comes around but until then I have to keep practicing my lines.

Spider Day

On the 9th to the 10th of July Room 4 had a spider day.First we had to do a fact file about spiders and find out about four different types of spiders.Then find information about those spiders. YAY we get to make spiders. We put in ice-cream and orange fizzy and then we ate them. We also got to make spiders out of marshmallows,melted chocolate,jelly beans,snakes and mn'ms. Now for art. Were making spider webs out of wool and cardboard.I thread out and in around the cardboard and its looking great. Its three O'clock. That has been a really fun spider day.

my holiday

for the holidays I am going to skate zone and the movies. I am all so going to play with my new calf. It is a boy  so I called it moo moo. He looks like a piece of  milo.

For the holidays I am going to Auckland because my cousion is there and I havent seen her for about two and a half years. My mum , My sister Eilish and me will be staying in a hotel for one week of the first week of the holidays. we will be going shopping and get my hair cut

Hawaii in Holiday Inn

In term 2 i went to America first i went to Hawaii with 18 of my Nana's side of the family. \We stayed at the Holiday Inn it is a very nice hotel with 27 stories and a pool on floor 2. We had 4 nights there.

Spider Day

Ah! A spider. On the 9th to the 10th of July room 4 had a spider day. We got to have a drink called a spider. It had ice cream and pineapple flavored fizzy in it.Here is what i think of it

term two

term two has been awsome. Room 4 has done lots of fun things like going to the onekawa pools to learn survival skills   , going to the faraday center to learn about forces and many more fun activitys. One of my favourite things we have done is make a story book. We had to go on to power point and make a anamation with voice. my one was abuot four kids who travled to another world.

At 3.00 clock when mum came to pick me up . I told her what

And finally took to me the doctors.

We had a x-ray but I was a nervous mum asked what happened.

Then the doctor said It was Brocken. When I went back to school in a cast  everyone was shocked. I

Spider Day

On Tuesday the 9th of  July Room 4 had a spider day where we did topics around spiders. My favorite activity was writing because we made spiders. If you don't know what a spider is here's a description........

Jumping Tournament

Last Saturday Me and Riki went in a jumping tournament. It started at 9:00am and went till 3pm. There were lots of people competing there was Maco and Kayras Bella and jasper Kavala and buster and other people. We had to do lots of jumps and games. My favorite jump was the water jump Riki was the best at the water jump and it was his first time. My favorite game was barrel racing. Riki wasn't very good because he was scared of the barrels. In the end Riki jumped 98cm and and hurt him ankle. And we came 3rd.
But it was still really fun!!!  

Squash Tournament

In the weekend i was at the squash club from like 9:00am in the morning till 9:00pm at night. I played my first game on Friday i lost in three against a girl from Gisborn. The next game i played was at 8:00am in the morning i won that one in three against a lady from Hastings. And then my last game was on Sunday i played at niven street squash club against a girl from Hastings and i won in three. At late afternoon we had prize giving my sister ally came first in her division and got $90 and i was in a higher division and i came runner up and got $50 i hope to play in more tournaments coming up.

Onekawa Pools life saving

Me and my class went to the Onekawa pools to do life saving on the 25th June. We were split into different groups. There was group 1, group 2, group 3 and group 4. I was in group 3. Our group did Non-contact rescue first. We had to get into groups of 2. One person in one of the groups had to swim out to the first flag while the other had to swim out and save them. The next activity we did was were you had to try and float with rubbish bags, plastic bottles and buckets. Then we did a challenge. We had to try and float without using anything; not even holding onto the side and this was for 5 minutes. Then, the next activity we did was trying to put life jackets on in the water and then walk up to the platforms to do dives. then we did some more Non-contact rescue and, finally, we put old clothes on and dive of the platforms again to practice swimming with clothes on. Then we got an hour free time. They taught me lots more about swimming!      

Onekawa pools!

On Tuesday 25 June room 4 went to the Onekawa pools. We learnt about non contact and contact. We  did some rotations like rescuing other people, how to stay afloat for 5 minutes , floating in life jackets , and learning how to defend yourself. And we also had to jump into the water with our clothes on!

Group 4 our group  did  floating skills first I could float on a milk bottle a little on the bucket and not ant all with the rubbish bag but everyone else could. Then we went on to do life jackets  I think it was so fun because we ha to take of and put on the life jackets  in the water and a lot more stuff. Then group 4 went on to do non contact and self defense in the water my favorite  part was self defense. The 2nd two last activity was contact me and max was really bad at it and our last activity was we had to swim in our cloths it was so fun. Then we got free time after lunch max got out of the slide and slipped and hit his back on the stairs.I went on the allot  with jack James and Flynn.

Water Safety

On the 25/6/13 we went to the Onekawa pools to learn Water Safety. There were five activities. There were  people teaching us different things. there was Tracy, Chi, Karen and Jill. The best part that I liked was putting a life jacket on in the water. It was hard at first but then i finally got it on. For the last activity we had to get into old clothes and then jump in the pool with them on. When I jumped in the pool my pants went over my feet and were making me feel I was going to drown. It was so heavy. Then we took off our clothes in the water. We all had lunch and then had a hour and a half of play. I went on the water slide about ten times and then went into the drowning deep cold pool.

Yesterday room 4 and 3 people from room 1 went to learn how to  survive in the sea and at pools and at rivers.when we got there we had to put on life jackets. we learnt how to put life jackets on in the water it was hard because it was getting tangled up and the zip was behind my neck finally we put on our life jackets on a different way it was when you lie on the life jacket.The next thing was non  contacted and contacted.If somebody is bigger then you do not crab on to them, get them a stick or something to float on.The next thing was saving someone in the water there was a lot of different ways and to do after  being in the water. The lucky last thing was floating and diving we had to float for least 5 min and there we had to see what works best bucket or bottle or bag the bag worked the best. for free time we got to go in the hot pools or 2 pools or slide life saving was so fun.

On Tuesday Room 4 went to the Onekawa pools. We did lots of activities of how to save other peoples life and also your life to. We learnt lots of different type of tows of how to get people out of the water to save them. My favourite activity was putting on and off life jackets. We did lots of other activities like learning different techniques to save people,how to dive and how to use different materials to help people no matter where you are.At the end we had to swim 2 lengths with our clothes on. It was a challenge because the clothes were so heavy so it pulled you down.The rest of the afternoon we got free time and I spent most of it on the hydra slide. I learnt lots about water safety and i would love to go again.

Onekawa Pools

On Tuesday my class and I went to the Onekawa pools for the day.We did heaps of activities,We had to put a lifejacket then jump into the pool,take our lifejacket off in the water and put it on in the water.The other activities we did were practicing how to save people. Then the last activite was basicully floating aroung for five minutes and diving.My favourite activietie was the lifejackets because you can float around.

Yesterday Room 04 went to the onekawa pools to learn water safety. The stuff we did was civil defence, towing, life jackets and floating with buckets, rubbish bags and bottles. with life jackets you get a teacher at the pool that teaches you how to put them on in the water and take them off in the water. With towing you get with a partner and one of you go in the water and pretend to drown and the other partner will jump in the water and save you. after all the activities we got to have 2 hours free time what was the Best bit i went on the slide with Claudia, Sam and Savannah and the spa and the other pools there

Onekawa Pools

On Tuesday we headed up to the Onekawa Pools. We were practicing life saving. One of the activity's was wearing a life jacket and floating around and trying to put a life jacket on in the water. We also did other activity's like saving people, jumping in the water without your head going under, We even learnt how to dive!.After we had to get changed into clothes and jump into the pool and swim two lengths!.Then we were aloud to have free time YAY. I went on the hydro slide , in the spa , the warm pool and the lane pool so I pretty much went in all the pools. My favourite thing about our visit was the life jackets i loved how you float around everywhere and when you pin jump into the pool you come straight back up. I also loved going down the hydro slide. We had a great trip i would like to go again.      

yesterday room 4 want to the Okinawa pools and of course had a swim. we had about 2 hours of free time. we went in the spar pool and had a swim. we also went on the hydro slid and had nearly 1000000 slides. we did tricks on the slide. it was so much better than school work. we had to swim in our clothes. they were heavy like we were carrying a elephant on our back.    

Swimming

Yesterday room 4 from Napier Central went to the Onekawa pools. To learn non-contact and contact rescues. We also went swimming in our clothes!!!!!!!! It felt so cool because my tights were sticking to me not dragging me down. I swam 100m in my clothes it was easy for me. My favorite thing about the going to the pools was like the 3 hours we had free time. We got to go on the swirly slide. We got to go in all the pools but not the adult spa but the kid spa was okay. I went on the slide it was so fun. Claudia and I went in the spa for half and hour and then jumped straight in the cold lap pool that gave us a fright. I loved our day at the pools but sadly we left and went back to school at 2:30.

Yesterday room 4 and a little of room 1 went to the onekawa pools for survival skills at the end we free time, we got to go in the lap pool, the spa and on the hydro slide. I think the hydro slide was the best because it went really fast.

Swimming

Yesterday day we went to the Onekawa pools. to learn how to swim and save people. some of the activities that we did were swimming in a life jacket rescuing each other and what to do if your got caught in a rip. what to do when someone was in the pool unconscious how to drag the out and put them on a stretcher and put a neck brace on them.n Our last activity was trying to float on different objects. The last thing we did was swim in our clothes. I wore skinny jeans and a tight t-shirt. after we had lunch we had free time me and sam went on the slides and spa the most. My favorite activity was swimming in our clothes because it is cool to feel what it feels like.

Pirrrate Mini Golf

I got in my best friend, Kaitlyns, mums car. We are going to pirate mini golf. Yay. I haven't been here for ages, my last day in Porrirua and I’m spending it with my best friend. Double yay. I could hardly wait. Just a breeze and sunny. glad I'm not at home, I’d  be bored snotless. Back to the golf course. It’s got 18 holes, ones in a pirate ship and another in a cave. The last one hole was the hardest, it’s in a volcano. One, Two, Three holes in one. Awesome, I felt ecstatic after every one. One, Two holes felt like I did it in a hole in fifty. Dang it, bummer. One of them was in a castle. The first time I went there I lost my ball in the lake around the pirate ship. That was with my brother. After the game we added up the scores. Paula, Kaitlyns mum came first with sixty-eight. I came second with seventy-two and Kaitlyn came third with seventy-six. When we had checked the scores over and over and over again, we went home. When I had to come home Kaitlyns dad said something I couldn’t believe what he said to me. Surprised, astonished, amazed. That’s what I felt like. Here’s my perfect equation: Me + My BFF+1 whole day of mini golf=1 whole day of total fun amusement and friends. That was the best day. In my eyes.

onekawa pools

As I jumped into the pool I felt a stingily feeling in my bones. I felt as if I was going to sink down to the bottom but no could swim free. we learnt lots of skills and we swam in our clothes.

My new gymnastics

The big slate grey building rose up in front of me. My hair was pulled into a tight pony-tail wrenching at my scalp as if it was trying to break free of my hair band, which was stretching dangerously like it was going to snap any moment. I gazed up at the gigantic sign. It read ‘Omni gym’ in red and blue lettering with a picture of a stick person, but fatter, doing the splits. I will never be able to do that I said awe struck. I was really nervous. I had wanted to make a good impression so I had been rushing around earlier trying to be ready on time, perfect hair perfect outfit, it had just right but mum just told me “slow down! It will be fine” but it didn't feel like that to me. I slowly trudged up the bumpy path, across saturated grass and up to the big glass door. Inside I could see people running about and jumping around on trampolines. I took a deep breath, creaked open the door and wandered in. bursts of noise greeted me uproariously. “5:30 class!” called an instructor. It was my group. I looked at mum and whispered “wish me luck…” and ran to meet my new gymnastics group.

Flying fox

Adrenaline pumping through my body like fire, air rushing through my hair, whipping it in front of my face as I shoot down the flying fox. Its feels like I am standing on a very windy hill. The metal bar is cold in my hand and when I look up I see that I am whizzing down the thin wire at a tremendous speed. CLACK! Goes the brake and I slow to a halt. The tiring climb back up the hill makes my legs feel like weights. I stumble back up the bumpy slope, acorns skid and slide under my feet.

“Incoming!”
I yell at Chris who looks up and gets ready to catch. The rope feels rough in my hands. I pull it back and fling it as hard as I can. Chris catches it. I run up the rest of the hill, pausing to turn and watch as Liv flies down screaming when I get to the top I collapse on the grass, panting. I watch as gradually, one after the other my team mates go whizzing down the flying fox, only to come back up huffing and puffing. Now it’s my turn again. I really don’t want to make the climb again. Sigh. See you later anyway.

My Dream room

In my room I will have a huge shanderlea. I will have a huge flat screen tv and a huge bed. In my room i will have anything you would ever want. I hope you like my room.

Young Leaders Conference 2013

On the 19th of may all the school and house leaders of NCS were waiting with huge smiles ready to take of to Rotarua. We stopped in Taupo for a break and a explore around the hot pools trying hard not to slip in! We then finally got to our motel flopped on our beds and watched TV. We had a amazing dinner of lasange followed by a delicious apple and berry crumble. It was bright and early when we all woke off we were already to go to the young leaders conference. We listen to some amazing speakers and got to meet Jamie McDell

The Faraday Center

Earlier this term room 4 went to the Faraday Centre. From the out side it did not look very big but on the inside it was giant. In the went to the forces room it had a tug of war where one person could win aganst  four,a marbile drop where the marbiles went flying, a sledge wher friction was at work and many more activatys.

My Dream Room

When you open the door to my dream room you will see white walls with black polka dots. There is nothing else in it since I have security cameras all over the room to see who is coming if it is someone I don't want to see. I put the sirens on and the floor drops open like doors. They land in a pile of rotten,stinky pile of rubbish. If it is someone I want to see I come down in a secret elevator. I take them up and then you come in to my actual room. It has white walls with black polka dots. There are 5 super king-sized bed. 1 for me 1 for my bunny 1 for my kitten 1 for my puppy and 1 for my koala. I have a door going out to my horses stable. I go riding everyday in the morning at dawn. I have magic in my room that makes my animals not get any older. If you type in the right code then you will see these long spiral stairs they lead to my 1000x1000 closet. It is stocked fully with all my clothes and heaps of the stuff that hasn't even come out yet. If you go out to the pool room there is a normal 25 meter pool there is a cold pool a spa and a warm pool. If you go to the middle of the 25 meter lap pool go under to the bottom and push the button you will get sweep down a long slide and will end in a massage centre. With the best massagers and equipment. You go up an elevator  to my room. There is tanks to fit my animals habitats. That is my dream room.
